Impact of fresh, healthy foods on learning and behavior
Impact of Fresh, Healthy Foods on Learning and Behavior. A 5 year study. This 15 minute DVD profiles the progress of the food program installed in the alternative school by Natural Ovens Bakery in 1997. Students & faculty are interviewed.
One day rebellious students who often exhibited out of control behavior arrived at school to find that candy and pop machines had been replaced with healthy bagels and energy drinks for breakfast. We know proper nutrition is essential to students and that what and when they eat significantly affects their ability to learn. Come and hear firsthand how Barbara Stitt implemented a pioneering food program in the appleton, Wisconsin, school district. You will learn how this community's wide approach to school nutrition eliminated discipline problems and made student expulsions and dropouts non-existent.
PLEASE WATCH AND FORWARD IT TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW.
HELP MAKE THE CHANGE — THE CHILDREN DESERVE IT.
